Measures

Although the flask I tested out might seem a little large, in its first appearance. I thought the actual size combined with its overall weight meant that it easily fitted into my rucksack and it did not take up too much room.

I personally find the 1-litre size of bottle to be more practical and purposeful as it allows for plenty of liquid to be housed inside. As a result, it is more than ideal for containing freshwater on those warm summer walks and warm drinks to last longer when the winter weather starts to close in.

The superb looking Gemstone Collection comes in two different colours, those being the colours of suave obsidian or classic selenite. The range of bottles also come in a variety of sizes from 0.5, 0.75 and 1.1 L. All of which feature a cool, stylish and contemporary design. I feel the range of sizes is a good thing as it allows people to conveniently choose what option suits them best.

This bottle is striking in appearance and easy on the eye, which means that as well as being a useful tool the bottle will also look good by your side either at the gym, work, school or simply when you are enjoying the great outdoors.

At the top of the bottle is a lid, that screws open and closed. The lid of the bottle doubles up as a drinking cup with can be easily filled due to the bottle’s “easy-pour” mouth.

The base is fairly wide, stable and strong and it allows the whole flask to sit firmly on all manner of different surfaces without fear of falling or spilling.

The Gemstone Story

There is an interesting story behind each and every Gemstone bottle. A story that is unique to SIGG and their overall quality of product. SIGG Gemstone flasks use a clever combination of science and manufacturing know how to produce the highest performance possible in a lightweight package. Pros and Cons

After using the product on several of my outdoor adventures I feel I am now in a good position to comment and share my thoughts on it. Highlighting both the good and bad points to this product.

From my own perspective, and someone who enjoys spending long periods of time outdoors. I must express just how much I like this particular flask and cannot help but admire the design and work that has gone into making this great outdoor product.

I have used many SIGG outdoor products in the past and they have always been excellent in terms of their design and overall usage and have indeed lasted the test of time.

In most cases, I still have my water bottle and metal food box, which were purchased some years ago and they still are an integral part of my outdoor kit and outdoor supplies.

Although, I am a great fan of all SIGG products I must also offer a fair and balanced review and indeed highly both the good and bad points to this flask. Therefore some of my pros and cons are listed below:

• It could be argued that the 1 litre size flask is big. It is, but it does hold 1 litre of liquid and there are alternative sizes.

• The larger flask might take up space in your rucksack.

• Priced at £32.99 pounds or €39.99 Euros it might prove expensive for some.

• Build quality - you get what you pay for. SIGG is very reliable and continually produce great products.

• Style and Design - always a the cutting edge of product design.

• Lightweight for the size of the flask.

• Sustainable product and ECO-Friendly.

• Good insulation.

Would I recommend this product?

Being a SIGG product lover I feel it is only fair of me to recommend this great flask to any other outdoor enthusiast. I loved the product and thoroughly enjoyed testing it out, putting it through some outdoor adventures and was pleasantly surprised just how good it actually was.

After using several times on various types of walks and containing different hot and cold drinks. I think the flask would make the perfect addition to any outdoor enthusiasts backpack and with the added choice of size and colour. I think the decision to get one is pretty clear.
